I had studied Nutrition and Exercise for many years before carrying out a degree in Nutrition & Exercise / Health. As an active triathlete I took this further and completed a course in Sports Nutrition, before obtaining a Diploma in Personal Training and Sports Massage Therapy.
In the last few years I have continued my professional development and completed qualifications in Advanced Clinical Massage with the Jing Institute, this incorporates hands on treatment of Sciatica, Chronic Neck Pain, Frozen Shoulder, Sprains, Strains, Sporting Injuries, Migraines, RSIs, Osteoarthritis , trigger point therapy, myofascial release and soft tissue release.
I am a member of the Register of Exercise Professionals.
As a keen sports person I have an in depth knowledge and interest in Sports Massage. This has given me an insight into the strains and stresses our bodies endure during sport, helping me to understand how best to treat sports injuries.
I have competed at the Surf Life Saving World Championships in Australia taken part in many triathlons including the infamous Helvellyn triathlon, UK Ironman 70.3 and the Ironman 70.3 World Championships.
I recently cycled from John O'Groats to Lands End with my husband and also completed the full UK Ironman in Bolton and Ironman Switzerland.
As well as treating local sports enthusiasts I have also treated GB Surf Life Saving team members, World Championship Ironman triathletes, UK Ultra Distance running champions, UK masters cycling champions, UK Duathlete champions, Professional footballers, GB 400 metre runners, GB Rowers, UK Power Lifting champions, local farmers and builders and many people who benefit from massgage.
